Wicked (2024)

For the animated goat, production scanned a real goat for vfx. The goat was brought to the stage, the wrangler placed the goat on its mark while the vfx team took photos of the goat.

In the scene where the actor on horseback rides into forest, knocks woman down mistakenly, sees actress, dismounts horse and they talk, they rehearsed the actress being knocked down by horse several times. The set was a mystical forest constructed inside a studio stage with dirt soil and a mixture of real and fake plants and grasses. The flooring consisted of 4-6 inches of soil and dirt on top of mats, provided by the set decoration departments. The soil was adequately packed down. The actor underwent training with the horse team at their farm on previous occasions. He is also experienced with horse riding prior to this production. One slow walk through of the scene was done with the stunt double riding. The rider dismounted and took a few steps away from the horse.
